I totally agree with The Smiths. Morrissey is still writing great lyrics to this day. Great List!

Five songs that changed my life with Jezebeth![]() Fan Submission http:/jezebeth.buzznet.com/user/ Siouxsie and the Banshees Peek-a-Boo I had heard this from my aunt when I was about 9 years old and pretty much became a elementary school goth. It's really hard to say what Siouxsie song has the most effect on me, but I'm choosing Peek-A-Boo because 1. Peepshow is a solid album. 2. the whole use of backmasking made this song so unusual that it really sticks out to me. And as Morrissey had said: "None of them are as good as Siouxsie and the Banshees at full pelt. That's not dusty nostalgia, that's fact." The Smiths Bigmouth Strikes Again Speaking of Moz, the dude's pretty much the basis for all these new lyricists, but no one has done it as well as Morrissey has. And Bigmouth Strikes Again showed SO MUCH about Morrissey's wit that I fell in love. If he was't, ya know, a total misanthrope I'd confess my love to him. Concrete Blonde Tomorrow, Wendy I was going to go with "Bloodletting", but that'd pretty much get me banned from ever going to a goth club again (hence why I didn't add Bauhaus' Bela ahaha.) I think Johnette Napolitano is truly underrated, because Tomorrow Wendy was a song on Bloodletting that was possibly the perfect exiting song of an album ever. It's sad and beautifully poignant. This was my song for like, my entire Freshman year of high school. The Smashing Pumpkins Mayonnaise If there was any band that I TRULY love and I still hold on to with a fierceness that I can't truly explain. It's the Smashing Pumpkins. Siamese Dream was the first CD I bought (tapes I had, but when I got my new CD player wooo big stuff there, man.) Mayonnaise is such a hopeful song that I can just hear it in my head and smile. It makes things feel all right. David Bowie "Life on Mars? This is a song definitely me and my girlfriend love. We're both like, ridiculous Bowie fans anyway, but Life on Mars? is one of those songs that can make you tear up. I kinda love he still performs it, but has to change the key because he can't even hit the notes anymore. It makes me smile. What are five song that changed your life? Post your list in this group.
