Billie Joe Armstrong's Pinhead Gunpowder putting out first material in seven years Photo Credit: Getty Images Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day has been making music with his side project Pinhead Gunpowder since 1991. After a string of shows last month in California, the band is putting out its first new piece of music since their 2000 split 7-inch with Dillinger Four. The currently untitled 7'' will be out in May on Recess Records, according to Greenday.net. A track list has yet to be announced, however Buzznet witnessed the band performing three brand-new songs during its recent shows: "West Side Highway," "On The Avenue" and "The Anniversary Song." Pinhead Gunpowder are made up of Billie Joe Armstrong on guitar and vocals, Jason White on guitar and vocals, Bill Schneider on bass and Aaron Cometbus on drums. White also plays second guitar for Green Day during their live show and Schneider serves as their tour manager. Check out my review of all four SoCal Pinhead Gunpowder shows. i love pinhead gunpowder.
finally
:D
But I can't wait to hear new PHGP material!
I'm very excited to hear some new stuff either way, though (because the new GD album is obviously taking its sweet time).
I'd be ok if they just kept us updated on the album, even if they gave us a definate date and name.
