Original Yellowcard Lineup to Reunite, Re-Release First AlbumThe original Yellowcard lineup – without singer Ryan Key, violinist Sean Mackin or bassist Peter Mosely – will perform a reunion show Saturday in Jacksonville, Florida.
![]() [Yellowcard drummer Longineu W. Parsons III] Believe it or not, Yellowcard originally started off as a hardcore punk band in 1997 with a singer named Ben Dobson. The band released two albums, 1997's Midget Tossing and 1999's Where We Stand, before restructuring and changing its sound almost entirely. With the present day Yellowcard on a current hiatus, drummer Longineu W. Parsons III, guitarist Ben Harper (who was kicked out of the band in 2005), bassist Warren Cooke, guitarist Todd Clarry and Dobson are set to perform at Freebird in Jacksonville on Saturday. Harper's label, Takeover Digital, will be re-releasing the out-of-print Midget Tossing on the same day. Are you interested in seeing the original Yellowcard in concert? Should the band re-form for an actual tour? Discuss in the comments below.

P.S.
The band has already spoken about the Ben situation and according to current members: Ben was never kicked out; apparently he left the band to take up different endeavors. Plus, according to Bens myspace in the past year he has joined and left 3 different bands. It sounds like someone has band A.D.D. if you ask me.
But I think it's sweet that LP, Todd, Warren and Ben are going to get back together. I'm glad. :)
But YC is not the same without sean, Pete (well... not anymore) and the ryans.
I know they're growing up, but I just can't deal with the whole "indefinite hiatus".
Does anyone else want to write a letter to them with me? Not like a "YOU NEED TO GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER AND REGROUP." But just a goodbye? A we need you, and wer'e sad you're gone?
They had an adress for fanmail up at one point. I lost it, but I'm sure someone has it... somewhere.
