Bring Me the Horizon Call New Record 'More Rock Than Metal'Bring Me the Horizon is prepared for a Suicide Season this fall.
![]() Due September 22, the U.K. metal band's second record is "more rock than metal," singer Oli Sykes told Kerrang! "It's heavy though, and it sounds a lot fatter and beefier. We've also done some mellower tracks too." A track list has yet to be announced, but one song in particular, "No Need for Introductions, I've Read About Girls Like You on the Backs of Toilet Doors," has definitely made the cut, according to Sykes. "It's only 30 seconds long and was a great way just to relieve my stress over everything that happened," he said. "I really got all my anger out on it!" Two surprises on Suicide Season come in the form of guest appearances: Sam Carter of Architects and Luis Dubuc of The Secret Handshake put their skills to the test on the new album, which was recorded in secluded Arboga, Sweden, by producer Fredrik Nordström (Arch Enemy, I Killed the Prom Queen). "Arboga is a village with nothing in it apart from a tiny shop and that was it. We actually lived at the studio so it meant we could all just focus on the music. Fredrik was a cool guy, and he taught us how to do stuff, so at night after he'd gone home we'd still be recording the album," Sykes said. You can enter our exclusive contest for a chance to win two tickets to the Metal Hammer Golden Gods (Gig Boat) 2008 on June 16 at O2 arena in London. Bring Me the Horizon will be there ... and so should you! ![]()
