Emo Fought the Law, and ...
Former Escape the Fate singer Ronnie Radke is behind bars in a Nevada jail right now after being caught for jumping parole. The embattled singer has been having run-ins with the law since he was charged with battery over a 2006 fight that led to the death of Michael Cook. But Radke isn't the first emo/punk musician to find himself in trouble with the law.

In March 2007, Tony Lovato, former singer of pop-punk band Mest, turned himself in to authorities after stabbing Wayne Hughes in self-defense. Hughes was the ex-boyfriend of Lovato's girlfriend at the time, and the altercation took place in the parking lot outside her complex. Lovato was sent to jail and released two days later, with all homicide charges dropped. Hughes had reportedly been sending threatening letters to Lovato, perhaps in an attempt to win back his ex-girlfriend.

That same month, Matt McGinley of Gym Class Heroes spent 32 hours in a Mexican jail cell for trespassing and falling asleep in someone's condominium. (McGinley was drunk and thought it was his hotel room.) He later sent a message to AbsolutePunk about his experience, saying, "Being in jail is the worst. Don't ever... EVER EVER EVER EVER ... go there."

The following month — in one of the more bizarre stories in recent memory — Bring Me the Horizon singer Oli Sykes was arrested in April for allegedly urinating on a female fan while inside the band's tour bus. Sykes appeared in court on two separate occasions to plead not guily, and the charges were later dropped due to lack of evidence.

Finally, later in 2007 — in August — Against Me! singer Tom Gabel was hit with a battery charge after allegedly slamming a man's head into a wooden counter at a Tallahasse, Florida, coffee shop. The reason for Gabel's actions? After allegedly tearing down a negative article about the band that was hanging from the coffee-shop wall, a patron asked his reason for doing so. That caused Gabel to go on the attack ... he was arrested that night and released on $500 bail.

Once your favorite musician is arrested, do you see them differently regardless of the truth behind the situation? Discuss in the comments.
