Circa Survive Begin Work on New Record: 'We've Worked Through Around 8 Songs'
Looks like Circa Survive is getting even closer to making a new record, as explained in a recent post by guitarist Colin Fragnicetto.

"It's about 3 weeks into writing now and progress is happening. We've worked through around 8 songs ... almost like a traffic jam. There are literally dozens of ideas patiently waiting their turn. Afew days ago we began recording demo versions of the tunes and are laying down tracks on the daily. Someone recently asked what the raw demos are like ... Well I'm not one to give away too much but I will say our growth is evident in every note and rhythm I hear," Fragnicetto stated in a blog entry on the band's Web site.
At least Fragnicetto didn't use the typical word 'mature' to describe the band's new music. That's almost as overplayed as when a band refuses to reveal their favorite album/song because it's like 'picking thir favorite child.' Can you really compare your child to a song? I don't think so, but what do I know, right!?
Before I forget, Fragnicetto mentioned a few other tidbits about the writing process that you will wannt to know ...
"*4-5 part vocal harmonies are very cool.
*Casio Rapmaster Keyboard - has some neat sounds.
*Anthony [Green] playing guitar with us... ummm heck yeah.
*Squirrels talking smack through the window while we write... weird."
Circa Survive released their second full-length, On Letting Go, in 2007 and Green delivered his first solo record, Avalon, this past August.
Green recently stopped by Buzznet to perform acoustically for our Resonate series.
Are you anxious for a new one from Circa Survive? Can anything top the last two records?
