the only similarities that i can think of between mcr and marilyn manson are that they both wear a lot of make-up. that's it. i like mcr, and i like(d) marilyn but i have to say, these ridiculous things that he's been doing lately (i.e: fucking a ninteen year old.) are entirely for attention because he knows that his career is floundering. nobody really thinks that he's shocking or contraversial anymore because we've all heard his anti-christ superstar bit a thousand times over. he has to insult mcr to get attention. all he's getting is negative attention, and his career is not going to go anywhere at the rate he's going now.

Uhm. As much as I'd like to agree with Marilyn Manson on this one (I, also hate My Chemical Romance,) I really can't. I don't really see any similarities between Manson & MCR. Maybe the fact that they wear makeup & Gerard has black hair.
I'm not saying Manson's just saying that to get attention. I mean, he might see something.

I recently read an article about him in Spin (I think), but he said something about how Eminem told him that he wanted to be like Marilyn. Maybe he just likes the attention? Because I don't see a resemblence.

manson defiantly has said that alot of people have ripped him off (about every time he puts out a new album). If I remember correctly Spin magazine did an interview with him and asked him about musicians who wear make-up, and in his mind everyone from MCR to the Karen O to Tool have stolen his ideas. He is basically losing his shock factor and is becoming washed up.

I dont plan on buying his album, Ive read some stuff about it and it jsut seems stupid to me.

Manson's just talking out of his ass. Let's be honest here, Manson isn't all that original himself. Transvestites were owning up the fake tits, and makeup before he was.
