Pete Doherty Getting Anti-Drug Implant

Pete Doherty, singer for Babyshambles and fiance of Kate Moss, has tried rehab before to quit his drug addiction.  Unfortunately, nothing has worked so far.

According to Celeb Gossip Junkie, Doherty is headed to a clinic today to be fitted for an implant, the size of a pellet, which will be inserted under the skin of his stomach.  The implant contains naltrexone and is supposed to help him kick his drug habit.

Doherty has been trying to rid himself of drugs and a friend of his has said, "Pete hopes this new implant will help him quit for good."

I have never heard of this type of "implant" before but I hope it works.  Do you know anyone who has had the implant?  Did it help?

Kurt Cobain Flea Market

Courtney Love, singer and window of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, has decided to sell a ton of Cobain's belongings and plans to give some of the money to charity.

Yahoo has Love talking about the auction: "My daughter doesn't need to inherit a giant ... bag full of flannel ... shirts.  A sweater, a guitar and the lyrics to `(Smells Like) Teen Spirit' — that's what my daughter gets. And the rest of it we'll just ... sell."

Although a date has not been set yet for the auction, Love is saying that her friends are supporting her idea to sell Cobain's stuff and that it will also help her to move on with her love life.

"I still wear his pajamas to bed. How am I ever going to go form another relationship in my lifetime wearing Kurt's pajamas?" Love says.

Do you think Love should go through with the auction or should she keep everything as memories?

Saosin Singer's Vomiting Attack

Touring the world can get you sick from time to sick.  Saosin singer Cove Reber suffered a vomiting attack after their show in London this past weekend.  Immediately following the show, Reber was rushed to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital due to severe gastro-intestinal problems.

According to NME, Reber was released Sunday afternoon, however the band did not play the Give It A Name show in Birmingham last night. (Probably a good idea!)

Saosin, being the nice guys that they are, have released the following statement to their fans saying that they, "hope they understand that it was impossible to perform under the circumstances".

The band are currently back on track with their tour.  Do you think they should take some more time off in case the sickness comes back?

Korn Act Their Age, Add Keyboards

Rockers Korn are putting the finishing touched on their eighth album and to the fans who are afraid of change...beware!  You are about to hear an updated version of your favorite band.

For starters, this album will not feature drummer David Silveria, but drum tracks recorded by Terry Bozzio (Missing Persons, Zappa)

Ultimate Guitar has singer Johnathan Davis and guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer talking about the evolution of the band on their upcoming album.  "It's a totally mature Korn. The songs have evolved I think with our age," Shaffer says.  To follow up that statement, Davis adds, "We've got Zack on keyboards, so we've got a lot of keyboards now. I'm not even going to try and explain it. You've just got to hear it."

Here comes what might be the biggest change for Korn.  They worked with pop hitmakers The Matrix (Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne) while writing the new album!!

"We started off doing that and it's turned into its own thing. It's been a really cool experience, having someone outside coming in to write with us and then taking that and mixing it up, twisting it around, and doing it our own way. I don't know. The way we did it this time was really interesting and fun," says Davis.

Are you excited that Korn are changing their sound or do you feel this will make them sound like a totally different band?

Rock N Roll Therapy: Powerspace

Today's Therapists - Powerspace

In our newest installment of Rock N Roll TherapyTom from Powerspace give you the advice and power to help overcome your dilemmas.

mthows1: There is this boy at my school, that my best friend likes alot.. I like him alot too, but I don't wanna make her sad, so I try not to like him.. but one day he came to me and told me that he like me alot, and asked if I would go out with him, but I don't want to, couse that would make my friend sad.. =/ what should I do?
Oh.. and I've started cutting again.. someone knows any way to stop? couse I really don't want to, but I just had to, and now I can't stop.. again

TOM: I'm really sorry about what you are going through. First off, cutting yourself is not going to help your situation. I've never had to deal with this personally so I can't really grasp how hard it is to stop cutting, but I would say instead of doing something destructive to yourself; do something constructive instead. Next time you feel like cutting, express your feelings in some other way. Paint a picture, do some free writing or journaling, write a song, or just talk to one of your friends about it.
As for your situation with your friend, I think the best thing for you to do is be open with her about your feelings for this guy. She might be okay with you liking this guy, which would be cool - or she might not, at which point you'll just have to decide which is more important; your friendship or going on a date with this guy. Either way, your friend will appreciate you asking her how she feels instead of going out with this guy behind her back or something. Also, I think it'd be better for you to get the truth out there and work it out with your friend instead of stressing about it in your head which might have something to do with you wanting to cut again.
Please get better! Talk to your parents, a teacher, counselor, therapist, or one of your friends about what you are going through. ..And remember boys smell and shouldn't get between you and your friends.

Kurt Cobain Wanted Collaboration

Rocker Iggy Pop has revealed that the late Kurt Cobain, singer for the famous grunge band Nirvana, had once suggested via voicemail that the two go into the studio together to record.

Unfortunately for both of them, the collaboration (which could have been incredible) never happened because Pop could not get in touch with Cobain after he received the message.

Starpulse has Pop explaining the situation in his own words: "He called me up once at two in the morning. But this was when I was old enough to start going to bed at 9.30. When I'm not gigging I'm sensible so I didn't take his call.

"It was cool because it was a great musician at his peak and he's going, 'Iggy, this is Kurt Cobain, let's get in the studio man.'

"So he leaves me a number for the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills. And then every time I would call it was like, 'Mr. Cobain is under the bed,' or 'We haven't heard from Mr. Cobain in three days.'"

What do you think the collaboration between the two would have sounded like????

Avril Lavigne Does A Drunken Interview?

Avril Lavigne seemes to be more talkative than usual during her recent video interview for Blender.com  Especially compared to the ones I have seen of her lately.

I suspect it has something to do with the fact that she spent the day in Malibu drinking while doing her (rumored to be) scandalous photoshoot for the magazine.  How do I know she was drinking you ask?  Because she talks all about it in the interview! (as well as her experience with smoking)

Stereogum provides a link to the interview in which Lavigne seems a "bit" tipsy and she curses up a storm and answers random questions sent in from fans.  She has a #1 album and single right now.  She's allowed to celebrate it!

Check out the video interview below:

Do YOU think Lavigne is drunk in this interview!?!?

Don't Drink And Drive Like Paris Hilton

How often do you hear the phrase "Don't drink and drive!"  One creative PSA is reaching out to teenagers to make sure they know what can happen if they do.

A fully nude statue of an autopsied Paris Hilton has been created and has removal innards that you can actually remove being that her abdominal cavity is wide open.

According to I Dont Like You In That Way, "The display also features Tinkerbell, Hilton's forlorn pet Chihuahua with matching tiara, and debuts in the trendy Williamsburg, Brooklyn neighborhood where prom-goers frequently dine, courtesy of Capla Kesting Fine Art."

The point of the statue is to showcase "the disturbingly glamorized trend of Hollywood's 'girls gone wild,'" according to gallery director David Kesting.

Do you think this is going too far or will teens relate to it because they know of Paris Hilton and her lifestyle?? (not to mention recent DUI charges)

Sandra Bullock Stalker Strikes Again

Who knew that actress Sandra Bullock has a stalker?  Do all big time actors have them?

Celebitchy reports that last Sunday morning, long time Bullock stalker, Marcia Valentine, was confronted by Bullock's husband, Jesse James, after he found Valetine lying in their driveway.

Instead of doing the smart thin, which would be peacefully leaving, Valentine decided to try and run James over with her 2004 Mercedes, not once, not twice, but three to four times!

After many failed attempts, she finally decided to drive away.  The saddest part about the incident is that  James' 10 year old son witnessed the entire event.  Hopefully police will arrest her.

Do you think stalkers should be in jail? Have you ever had a stalker?

Manson's new album, "Eat Me, Drink Me" is due out in June.

What do you think of the clip?  Are you excited for the rest of the video?

MSN Is Sooo Emo

In an attempt to explain to adults what style of music their children are listening to, MSN and Channel 4 Radio have teamed up to try and explain "emo" and "screamo".

The worst part of this article is the title of it: Get Down With The Kids (How cringable!?)

Their explaination of emo is legit: "Emo is a genre of indie rock with its origins in Washington DC's mid-1980s hardcore punk scene. The first wave of emo bands shared some quite specific characteristics, notably a tendency for spontaneous emotional outbursts in performance, hence the name."

Their explanation of the style is hilarious: "Kit yourself out from head to toe in black, die your hair the same colour, and ensure to brush as much of it over your face as possible. Finish off the look by painting your nails. A reaction against jock culture, Emo types shun anything sporty or overtly masculine."

The examples they give of emo bands are the obvious ones: My Chemical Romance, Panic! At The Disco and Fall Out Boy.

If that isn't enough for you, click here to read their report on "screamo"

Do you parents understand YOUR music?  Do they ever use the terms "emo" and "screamo" around you?  Share your stories!

Britney Spears To Finally Perform Again

Britney Spears is in the news every day...but when was the last time she actually performed?

Well, the rumor going around town (and the web) is that Spears will be playing on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007 at the House Of Blues in Hollywood, CA.

According to NME, she will be appearing under the name The M+M's (I hope Eminem doesn't sue!)

Perhaps Spears will showcase some of her new material at this show.  You never know.  "Love", "Kiss Me All Over" and "Pull Out" have already been recorded!

Do you think the comeback will work for Spears????  DId you see Britney perform back in the day??

However, you can hear a 30 second clip of the song Right Here

Amazing! Monday is going to be a very exciting day for me!

I am working on getting The Cab to come by the studio next Wednesday and possibly Steel Train for Thursday...then it's off to Bamboozle!

System Of A Down Singer Goes Solo

Rockers System Of A Down may be on hiatus but that isn't stopping singer Serj Tankian from creating new music.

Due out in September/October, Tankian will release his first solo album entitled "Elect The Dead"

Ultimate-Guitar has Takian talking in his own words about the project:  "The record is a rock record, very kind of epic sounding with a lot of different instruments, a lot of different layers and definitely interesting. (laughs)  I don't know how to talk about my own music really well, I kind of just like having other people draw conclusions. But it's been exciting working on it. I've had the same energy as the first System record."

For fans dieing to hear some of Tankian's solo work, he will be performing a song at Coachella this weekend with a band called Fair To Midland (who are signed to Tankian's record label-Serjical Strike)

I am hoping that someone will record this performance, whether it be on video or audio or both!

Expect a music video soon for the song as well!!!

Marilyn Manson Almost Quit Music For Marriage

Shock-rocker Marilyn Manson is in the middle of a divorce and about to release a new album.

However, a year ago things were totally different for Manson.  While he was playing the husband role to Dita Von Teese, he began to lose interest in music.  Fametastic quotes Manson as saying “I didn’t have an interest [making music] anymore because I felt the music industry had gotten to a point where I just felt completely unfulfilled, uninterested.”

The downfall of his marriage inspired him to start writing again.  Manson began to find a new interest in music again, perhaps to help fill that emptiness in his life.

“I just didn’t really feel inspired to do it and then [when my marriage ended] I sunk into a weird black hole… I really didn’t know what I wanted to do and I lost an identity… I didn’t know who I was, because I didn’t really have anything.”

"Eat Me, Drink Me" is due out in June.  Hopefully his new music will keep him busy and his mind off of the divorce.

Timberlake Says - "Can't Touch This"

Pop star Justin Timberlake is about to head off on a European tour and has already set a rule that he is taking very seriously.

When seeing Timberlake in concert, you are allowed to touch him, but can not grab him.  According to Contact Music, security teams were given specific briefings about this.  "They were quite specific about what was and what was not allowed. We've never known anything like it. It was hysterical," one security member said.

Apparently, this rule has been broken before.  In Ireland two men jumped on stage and mocked him.  I wonder how fast they got tackled!

Pete Wentz On Most Beautiful List Of 2007

People Magazine have announced their list of the Most Beautiful People in 2007.

I am not too sure as to how this list is decided, however, I do know that Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz has made it to the number 11 spot on the list.

Accompanying Wentz' photo is an explanation as to why he wears the much talked aboout "guy-liner"

"I get a ton of under-eye circles because I don't sleep. Usually I'll just put on more eye makeup and let it blur in," says Wentz.

Other people that made this year's list include: Scarlett Johansson (#1) Patrick Dempsey (#3) and Halle Berry (#4)

Do you think Wentz deserves to be on this list?  Who else should be on it?

Foo Fighters Report From The Studio

Foo Fighters have put out 5 albums (not including their live album) since their formation in 1995.
There fanbase continues to grow each year and they have just confirmed that they have officially working on their 6th full length album for the past 6 weeks.

Ultimate Guitar has some quotes from Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl about the new album:

“We’ve been recording with out friend Gil Norton (legendary Pixies producer) he worked on our second record, he’s a good guy and he makes amazing albums.

“So we’re making a really big powerful record, which I’m very excited about and I cannot wait to finish.

“I’m not saying I’m not having fun, I’m saying I can’t wait to jump on stage and do this stuff, it’s gonna be great.”

Grohl promises that the new album will sound like Foo Fighters but will also move in a few different directions.

Which Foo Fighers album is your favorite?  The Colour And The Shape? One By One?

Japanese Scammed Into Buying Sheep As Pets

Here's a story that sounds too good to be true...but it is!

According to Neatorama, thousands of Japanese people have been scammed into buying sheep that they were told were poodles!!  What's even more ridiculous is that each "poodle" was sold by a company called Poodles and Pets for $1600, which is considered half off of the normal price.

Are you curious as to how people found out the truth about their "poodles"?

A Japanese moviestar named Maiko Kawamaki brought her "poodle" to a talk-show and was inquiring why the pet refused to eat dog food or bark....Hmm...I wonder why??

The police are looking into hundreds of cases as other owners have come forward to complain about their pet.

Apparently, sheep are very rare in Japan and so many people do not know what they look like, thus the scam was easy to pull off.

TV: Back in the Day: Out Of This World

In September of 1987, a new comedy sitcom found it's way onto the TV called "Out Of This World"

The concept of the show was unlike anything I had seen before.  Evie, the show's 13-year-old main character, has just found out that her father is an alien named Troy from the planet Antarias.  Troy had mated with Evie's mom, Donna Garland and thus formed Evie, a half-alien species.  During the series, you never get to see Troy, just hear him.

Evie discovers that she has supernatural abilities and the comedy of the show is based around her misusing her powers in each episode and then trying to fix the problems she has caused.

My favorite of Evie's powers was that she could freeze time, yet, being an alien, was still able to do whatever she wanted while everything else was stopped in place.

The show ended in 1991 and a DVD has yet to be released.

Here is the intro to Out Of This World:

This Is Spinal Tap Reunion

Spinal Tap is one of the greatest music-based movies of all time. (Right up there with That Thing You Do and Josie And The Pussycats)

For those of you who have yet to see it, the 1984 film, entitled This Is Spinal Tap, follows the life of a fictitious rock band, who some say are much better than most of the real life bands that exist today.

Spinal Tap fans have been waiting for a reunion of sorts for 23 years and now the wait over.

The group will be appearing at the Live Earth concert at London Wembley Stadium on July 7th 2007 and there will also be a 10 minute film of the band shown at the concert which documents the band getting back together for the cause.

I am curious to see how this turns out!!  Have you seen the movie?!

Marilyn Manson Talks Relationship Through Music

Marilyn Manson is about to release his new album, Eat Me, Drink Me, on June 5th 2007 via Interscope Records.

Manson is currently going through a divorce and one would wonder if he would be talking about the situation at all on his album.

After reading some of Manson's new lyrics, thanks to Ultimate Guitar, it looks as if he is expressing different emotions from his real life.

In The Red Carpet Grave he sings, "I can't turn my back on you when you walk away" and in the song They Say Hell's Not Hot, "I kill myself in small amounts / In each relationship it's not about love / just another funeral and just another girl left in tears."

With powerful lyrics like those, I can only imagine what other topics he covers on the new album.

Manson will begin touring for the new album at the end of May and the newest member of his band will be ex-Prodigy member and bassist Rob Halliday.

Rock N Roll Therapy: A Heartwell Ending

Today's Therapists - A Heartwell Ending

In our newest installment of Rock N Roll TherapyA Heartwell Ending give advice on how to make your situation have a happy ending.

Onlyxaxteenagerx123: Me and my boyfriend have broken up and got together 4 times in the past 3 months and at one point he cheated on me for days. I know I should be mad at him, But I dont know how to be mad at him......... I need help and I dont know what to do because I still Love him............ please help me and Tell em what to do because at tyhe end of the day Im scared to go home because I think that he will cheat on me or something like that but when we are together we are fine like any couple. I dont know what to do and everytime he does sometihng that should make me mad I just cant be Its like I dont know how to be............. help me.

AHE:
well first off your best bet would have been to leave him the first time he cheated on you. also in my personal opinion breaking up and getting back together is pointless, due to the fact that if there was a problem large enough that you both could not solve while being together.... you broke up for a purpose. you seem like a very caring girl and i dont want to see you be taken advantage of. BUT as far as being mad or angry or learning how to be mad or angry honestly what is the point? in my opinion id rather have an honest caring..NICE, girlfriend. your best bet is to just move on and find a guy who wouldnt cheat on you or make you feel the way he does.

Coheed And Cambria Working on Fourth Album

It was August of 2006 when bassist Michael Todd left progressive-rock band Coheed and Cambria.

After just half-a -year away, Todd has returned to the band as they begin recording their 4th album, due out sometime in the Fall. (I wonder what made him change his mind??)

According to Absolute Punk, the new album is currently entitled, No World For Tomorrow, although that can always change in the future.

For those unaware, each of Coheed And Cambria's albums are concept albums that revolve around a story about Coheed and Cambria Kilgannon and this fourth album is supposed to be the last chapter in the saga.

How detailed!!  Are you excited for this album? Will you be sad when the story comes to a close?

Would You Post Your Phone Number On YouTube?

Ryan Fitzgerald
, a 20-year old from Massachusetts, decided to conduct an "experiment" by posting his real phone number on YouTube to see exactly what would happen.

This risky, but inexpensive (due to free weekend minutes) decision led to over 5,000 calls from all around the world.  According to Celebitchy, Fitzgerald ended up staying awake for 36 hours to get to all of the phone calls he was receiving.

While some may assume Fitzgerald was doing it for attention or to pick up chicks, he explains the real reason behind all this. "The biggest reason I did it, was… for the people that are at their house, 4 in the morning, any time of day, that just need someone to talk to..," Fitzgerald said.

This story became a pretty big deal and Fitzgerald was even interviewed about the whole thing of CNN

Would YOU ever give out your number online?  What would YOU be afraid of?

Gym Class Heroes Hit The Beach

Almost everybody has heard the Beach Boys' song Good Vibrations...including Gym Class Heroes.

The band has taken their appreciation for the song one step further with their own cover of the song as part of a Sunkist promotion that you can hear at this link.

Can't get enough of the song?  It's available on the new One Tree Hill Soundtrack.

Do you think the song fits with the product it's promoting in the commercial?

Did you like the cover?  Stereogum called it, "THE WORST BEACH BOYS COVER OF ALL TIME."

Eminem To Own Piece Of 8 Mile

Detroit rapper Eminem hasn't put out a new album since 2004's Curtain Call.

However, it is evident that Eminem still has plenty of money saved up as he is planning to buy St. Andrews Hall, a concert venue in Detroit.

For anyone who saw Eminem's movie, 8 Mile, all of the famous rap battles were filmed inside of this venue.

If the deal takes place, Eminem is prepared to manage the club with his manager Paul Rosenburg, according to NME.

Perhaps this will be Em's new hang out and a place where he can give exposure to new artists and try out his new material.  Or perhaps simply watching the film again isn't enough for him and he wants to be able to relive the moment of his first big movie anytime he wants.

Static-X Still Rocking With New Drummer

It's been over 13 years since industrial metal band Static-X first formed and after all that time and 8 releases (including EPs) they are still selling out shows.

The band is currently on tour to support their newest album, Cannibal, which came out on April 3rd, 2007.

Ultimate Guitar has provided us with an update from the band's singer Wayne Static (is that his REAL last name?)

The band is currently on tour and Will Hunt (Tommy Lee, Dark New Day) has been filling in on drums since usual drummer Nick Oshiro is currenly healing a broken hand.

However, Hunt is going back to his usual drum duties with his other bands and thus the musical chairs game continues as Bevan Davies (Danzig) will be taking over on drums until Oshiro is healed and ready to start playing again.

"For those who can't make it out to see us this time around, don't worry. We're working on summer tour plans and I hope to make an announcement about that very soon.", Wayne says.

Have you picked up their new album!?  Is it any good!?

Every Time I Die Make Dirty Music

Metalcore band Every Time I Die have put out 3 full length albums since forming in 1998.

The band is hard at work in California on their fourth release, entitled "The Big Dirty," which is due out this August of 2007, reveals Punk News.

The band has left a rather interesting note about the upcoming album: "You want ironically distasteful rock and roll pretenses? You got em. You want riffs so filthy they should have a moustache and wear elastic work out pants when they go out to eat at the Olive Garden? Right here, boys. You want mosh parts so brutal it could star opposite Charles Bronson in ANY of the Death Wish movies? Come get some."

I'm sure their fans understand their off-beat sense of humor and are looking forward to this release!

FACT: Every Time I Die has had 10 different bass players leave the band.

TV: Back in the Day: Parker Lewis Can't Lose

It wasn't technically a "spin-off", but the TV show "Parker Lewis Can't Lose" was as similar to the movie "Ferris Buller's Day Off" as humanly possible.

Aired on FOX between 1990 and 1993, the show focused on High School student Park Lewis, who along with friends Jerry and Mikey and girlfriend Annie, go through different scenarios of a normal teenage life.

The crew can best be described as cool, fun, hip and smart, much like Ferris Buller.

Once again, similiar to Ferris Buller's Day Off, both the school principal and Lewis' sister were the two characters on the show who tried to ruin all their fun.

Now you finally know what the Fall Out Boy song "Parker Lewis Can't Lose (But I'm Gonna Give It My Best Shot)" is in reference too.

The show has yet to appear on DVD, but here is a video of the intro to the show:

Diaz And Hilton Start Pop Fest

Even celebrities can get acne from time to time.  How they chose to deal with it is a different story (how about medicine?!)

In a gross-out story from A Socialite's Life, apparently Cameron Diaz and Nicky Hilton spent some time last night in the bathroom of Teddy's in Los Angeles.

Inside the bathroom, it was revealed that the two proceeded to pop their zits!!!! Disgusting!!

Unfortunately, no photos were taken of this monumental event.

Seriously, isn't that something you should do in private?

Integrated Prom - A First At Georgia School

Better late than never.  Georgia's Turner County High School held their first ever integrated prom.

According to AOL News, in the past both white and black students raised money for their own separate parties, but this all changed when Turner County High School's four senior class officers teamed up with their school principal, Chad Stone, to create just one.

The Daily Collegian
reports that only 2/3 of the students purchased tickets to the integrated prom and that a private "white" party took place that week as well.

One white student, Calvin Catom, attended both parties and said, "Last weekend was more like tradition. It wasn't racist, or prejudice." "This weekend is about the whole school getting together and having a party."

Hopefully, the integrated prom will continue at Turner County High School year after year and that will become a tradition.

Sanjaya For President

After his recent exit from American Idol, people began to wonder where they would next see Top 8 contestant Sanjaya.  Would it be in the movies, his own reality show or on his own fragance line?

The surprising answer is at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner.  According to Evil Beet, Sanjaya attended as a guest of People magazine.

The funniest part of this story is when New York governor Eliot Spitzer was first rejected while trying to get Sanjaya's autograph and had to explain who he was.

Perhaps to make a joke out of the situation, Spitzer states that the urgency for the autograph was because “I was trying to get a hair transplant.”

How much do you think Sanjaya's autograph is worth?

She Can Text Faster Than You Can

Let tme start off by saying that anyone who knows me personally, knows that I would have 100% won this competition if I had known about it.

Morgan Pozgar, of Claysburg, PA, is this year's winner of the LG National Texting Championship.

According to Neatorama, the 13 year old was able to take home $25,000 after beating out 250 other contestants.

There are strict rules in the competition.  For example, you can not abbreviate anything and spelling and proper punctuation is a must.

Pozgar winning message was “Supercalifragilisticexpialidoucious! Even though the sound of it is something quite atrocious. If you say it loud enough you’ll always sound precocious.”

She says that relaxation and deep breathing is what helped her win.  If you are reading this Morgan, I am ready to challenge you.  By the way...I type with one finger!

Gorillaz Done Monkeying Around

Gorillaz have sold an insane number of albums and have had a few successful hits.  Not bad for a band that is made up of cartoonish drawings!

I hate to be the one to upset you, but according to Damon Albarn (singer of Gorillaz) the group will not be making any more pop albums.

According to The Music Slut, Albarn is quoted as saying, "We're trying to make a film next, starting in September hopefully. It will be a film score."

So you will "techincally" hear more from Gorillaz but in a different way.

Jackass Attends Court Hearing

When trying to prove you side of the story in court, you are allowed to bring witnesses and evidence.

While I am not sure if there are limits as to what you are allowed and not allowed to bring, I definately didn't think a donkey was acceptable.

However, that's exactly what attorney Gregory Shamoun did when faced with complaints that his donkey was being too loud.  According to Neatorama, the donkey testified in court by simply walking up to the bench, staring at the jury and appearing well-mannered.

CNN reveals that John Cantrell, the man who had complained about the noise and manure piles, explained his side of the story.  "They bray a lot any time day or night. You never know when they're going to cut loose."

Unfortunately, the case ended uninterestingly as the two men settled the dispute themselves.

Marilyn Manson's Biggest Fear

After the Columbine shootings of 1999, the finger was pointed at Marilyn Manson and his music rather than the actual mental health issues of the two killers.

With the recent massacre at Virginia Tech, Manson is worried that people will once again blame him for the unfortunate events that occurred.

Contact Music has a quote from Manson about the situation in which he states, "I was watching it in the same way that I can remember watching the TV when Columbine happened, and just seeing it take place as any other person would. "Then suddenly Columbine happened and my name got brought into it and I wouldn't be surprised if my name got brought into this."

Do you feel that it is wrong to blame music, video games, books and so on for the motives of a killer? Or do you believe that those things can help influence someone who is already having mental issues?

New Found Glory Want Your Advice

Pop-Punkers New Found Glory put out From The Screen To Your Stereo, one of the best cover albums I have ever heard, in 2000.

Seven years later they have decided to make a sequel to that EP and are asking for your suggestions this time around as to what covers they should record.

According to Absolute Punk, to suggest covers songs to New Found Glory, you just need to follow the instructions written here.

This is a fun and unique idea.  In fact, I have listed 2 suggestions below incase NFG are reading this:

1. Vanilla Ice - Ninja Rap (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2)
2. Bobby Brown - On Our Own (Ghostbusters 2)

New Found Glory - "Coming Home"

TV: Back in the Day: Roundhouse

Sketch comedy TV shows seem to be the big trend nowadays, but long before shows like "The Whitest Kids You Know" and "Human Giant" there was Nickelodeon's "Roundhouse"

Roundhouse first aired on Nicklodeon in August of 1992 and revolved around the everyday problems of the Anyfamily.

The sketch comedy show featured sketches, (obviously!) dance sequences and musical performances.

The show lasted a full 4 seasons and officially ended in 1995.

I remember the actors being very talented and the show being a lot of fun.

Here is the intro:

Spiderman - The Musical!

It's 100% confirmed that their will be a Spiderman musical on Broadway (Hopefully it will be better than the Spiderman musical show at Universal Studios!)

Who better to help write the songs for the musical, than America's favorite rock band, U2

Both Bono and The Edge will be writing with Julie Taymore (The Lion King), according to Spin.

Spiderman The Musical is currently casting.  Should I audition to play Peter Parker? I can sing!

Melee's Q&A With Buzznet

Buzznet - Question and Answer Session

Melee

1. Your newest song that you released online is called "Biggest Mistake"....What is yours?

The girl that this song was written about...

2. If you pre-order the CD from Smartpunk.com you get a phone call from the band. Who will be calling and how long will the call last?

All four of us will be making the calls. I suppose it's up to the reciever how long the calls will last. Or until it just gets awkward haha...

3. You have your own Melee Movies on You Tube.  How much time goes into planning each episode?

Not much time really goes into it....Sorry to admit. Most of it is all improvised or edited nicely together. Some of our new ideas are lightning bolt of ideas, that just hit us. We'll talk about them for a couple of minutes...but the greatness of our pseudo comedic genuis is the freshness of it. Males don't think, and we're living proof of that.

4. Is the Built To Last video on your Myspace the "offical video" or will you be making an updated one?

That's OUR official video. Not THE official video, I suppse. We wanted to make something to spread around the internet and have our fans share. In April we'll be making a MTV VH1 friendly video with The Malloys

5. When your CD finally comes out on April 3rd, what song are you most excited for people to hear?

"She's Gonna Find Me Here" I feel like its a song people aren't going to expect from a band this early in their career. I also feel its the most open and genuine song we've written. Pure soul.

6. Your album is called Devils and Angels.  Do you see yourself as more of one than the other?

I feel like I'm an Angel trying to be a Devil...but failing miserably

7. Your album is being released in the middle of the tour.  Are you going to change your live set once it's out to play more new songs?

We're already playing new songs off the album, so I'm sure we'll just start rotating more new songs in as time passes by.

8.  Who first came up with your heart/peace logo? What was the Melee logo before?

I came up with the peace heart idea while watching tv one day...
random things always pop into my head out of nowhere....most of them aren't ever worth repeating...luckily this wasn't one of those. Before it we didn't have a logo. The accents on our name were the closest thing we had to a logo. They served more of a calling card though.

9.  What makes your fans different than fans of other bands?

Our fans aren't into Melee because its cool or trendy. They are fans because they genuinely love what we do and understand us.

10. Describe each of your bands mates in 1 word.

Chris - smart
Ryan - Funny
Mike - Pensive

Pete Doherty Chooses Love Over Drugs

It's a tough story to believe as every recent photo shows Pete Doherty looking wrecked, but Star Pulse reports that Doherty has begun to change his way.

Apparently, Doherty and his family had an intervention in which he was told to either quit using drugs or lose his relationship with his family.

The intervention seemed to have a major affect on him as he told the court at a recent appearance, "The people I'm closest to have had enough. They've said it's drugs or them. A lot has changed in the past week."

Doherty has been undergoing drug treatment prior to an April 2006 arrest.

I'm happy that his loved ones stepped in and showed how much they care.  Some families unfortunately wouldn't do that.

Eat With The Fishes And Sharks!

Have you ever walked through that room in almost every aquarium where you are completely surrounded by fish? (Even above your head) Have you ever just wanted to have a seat right there and eat a meal?  Well, now you can...at least in one restaurant.

Netaorama gives us the scoop on Ithaa Restaurant, located at the Hilton Maldives Resort and Spa, which is on Rangli Island.

The restaurant opened on April 15th 2007 and allows you to eat your meal while sitting 5 meters below the waves of the Indian Ocean.  The dining room gives you a 270-degree panaramic view of everything that is naturally going on in the ocean!

Science Blogs provides a statement from Carsten Schiek.  Schiek is the General Manager of the hotel and explains the reasoning behind the restuarant.  "Our guests always comment on being blown away by the colour, clarity, and beauty of the underwater world in the Maldives, so it seemed the perfect idea to build a restaurant where diners can experience fine cuisine and take time to enjoy the views - without ever getting their feet wet."

It's all the way over by India, so if you plan on going, make reservations!
