November 30, 2007Pete Wentz wants to be gay?
"My whole point is I think there's something in art where you should be making people feel uncomfortable." -- Pete Wentz
On Friday Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy spoke with NPR about testing boundaries, why he chooses to wear make up and the part of him that wishes he was gay. This interview shows a new side of Wentz whose constant interaction with fans has helped to make him a star. The story of Wentz and the many hats he wears is an interesting one and after listening to the chat with NPR you will learn even more about the man behind the bass. Listen to Pete Wentz' interview on NPR right here. ![]()

Blinded Black offer six pieces of advice![]() Blinded Black stopped by the Buzznet office to give advice to Buzznet members that are tackling two tough topics: drug addiction and weight issues. ![]() Amysaurus: I've always been somewhat of an alcoholic, at least since the summer between my soph & jr year of high school. I also started smoking a lot of weed second semester senior year and I've smoked almost every single day since I started. Now I'm two months into my freshman year of college at a notorious party school, and at the beginning I told myself I wouldn't drink as much as I did over the summer or smoke as much, and I definitely wouldn't do any other drugs. I've definitely broken my promise to myself - I still smoke everyday, I get trashed 3-4 times a week [sometimes even 5 times a week if I have nothing else to do], I've done shrooms several times, and I've taken vicodin for fun. on top of all that, I've started not caring about school as much as I did and I went home with a different guy every weekend for a month straight. I'm scared that I'm going to ruin my life, which is why I've tried stopping all my regular habits, but i just can't seem to be able to. Does anyone have any advice for getting my life back on track? Click on the photo to view Blinded Black's response ![]() ![]() Pearlcharms: I love rock music butt i dont love going to shows anymore, I'm over weight and I feel like the small skinny girls are always lookin at me like I don't belong, it's such an uncomfortable feeling cause were all there for the same reason, who cares how much I weigh? Five songs that changed my life with Karinarae![]() Fan Submission http://karinarae.buzznet.com/user/ Evanescence Call Me When You're Sober I had a drunken a** boyfriend but this song made me dump him and it was the best thing I've ever done. AC/DC Highway To Hell This song has been in my life ever since I had to move back to my mothers. It helped me through the year I was there. The Beatles All You Need Is Love This song is actually a song I grew up with, it's a song that really changed my view on love. Faith Hill This Kiss When I first met my new boyfriend this song was playing. It made us come together and I'm happy. Marilyn Manson This Is The New S**t I fell in love with this song. The lyrics crack me up and it's a great song that my idol sings. What are five song that changed your life? Post your list in this group.

Five songs that changed my life with Zazaarmstrong![]() Fan Submission http://zazaarmstrong.buzznet.com/user/ Spice Girls Wannabe I was small, probably 6 or 7 when the craze of the Spice Girls started. I had the video of the movie and Sporty Spice Doll and everything! It made me realise that music is pretty great :D I still love them. Green Day American Idiot Oh god, I love this band! Green Day is my absolute favourite band and I'm forever faithful to them ever since this video appeared on MTV. I was watching MTV and suddenly this video appeared, and I was like "Hey this is pretty catchy". I watched it whenever it appeared and I bought the record and more records and more records... and got obsessed with them. Suddenly I started writing songs and singing and playing guitar...just like that. I thank them for everything. My Chemical Romance Welcome To the Black Parade I used to see them on MTV's TRL with "Helena". I loved them and songs like 'Ghost of You' and I saw 'I'm not Okay' for the first time when I was watching a hotel TV in France :P. I bought thier album and I loved every song from them. The craze died out for a while until WTTBP came out and I was like, "ZOMG Gerard is BLONDE! and the song is awesome pawsome!!!" They didn't save my life or anything, but they did change a bit of it. Michael Buble Everything I saw this video on VH1 and I fell in love with it. I saw that "michael buble" sang it and I was like, "Hang on, I know him". I checked him out and bought his album and LOVED IT. It was different from the music I listened to becuase it's Jazz and Big Band-y type of music but I loved it. That's when I started listening to Billie Holiday and Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett, who are all great great great musicians. Flyleaf I'm So Sick I'm not that religious as a person, in fact I didn't have a lot of faith in God and the afterlife. I was a bit Agnostic and I wasn't sure of what to believe. I was scared. Scared of dying and scared of what's actually out there. I questioned religion and protested that the things they can't explain, they say we have to have "faith." A Buzznet friend of mine was obssesed with Flyleaf and I gave them a listen and I loved it. Later I found out they're a Christian band and they wrote pretty cool songs for God and Jesus. I listened to what she had to say and listened to her story and it inspired me. Now I do have faith and I'm a lot happier and comfortable. I'm not a Christian. I'm a Muslim because to me they make more sense than Christianity. Flyleaf pretty much changed a lot of my life. What are five song that changed your life? Post your list in this group.

Spears to shoot video in record time
Britney Spears is shooting a music video on Tuesday for her next single "Piece Of Me." I am curious to see how this video turns out as she is reportedly only going to be at the shoot for 2 hours. because she is spending time with her kids the rest of the day. What can you accomplish in 2 hours?!
If you are a fan of her 2002 video for "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" you will be happy to know that Wayne Isham, the director of that video, is directing the new one. The video plot: Spears wears a wig and trenchcoat to blend in with her dancers as they sneak past paparazzi and enter the club. As soon as her disguise is removed she starts being hassled by cameras. It is also said that Spears will dance on a bar at some point in the video and will also be running down a flight of stairs. Do you think "Piece Of Me" will be a better music video than "Gimme More?" November 26, 2007Back in the day: 'The State'
Years before Reno 911! hit Comedy Central, a few of the actors could be found on a hilarious MTV sketch comedy show called The State.
The show only lasted for 3 seasons (1993-1995) but introduced us to some memorable characters that will last a lifetime including: Barry and Levon, Capt. Monterey Jack and Old-Fashioned Guy. You may be too young to remember everything about the show but have probably heard people use popular catch phrases from it like: "I wanna dip my b***s in it!" and "Chicken sandwich Karl!" A DVD set has been put together of the show but has not been released due to unknown reasons. A State movie is supposed to surface in 2008 on Comedy Central. Hopefully that will pan out. Manson takes a slice out of his girlfriend
Marilyn Manson decapitates his girlfriend on a nightly basis. Confused?
Manson has built a robot replica of his girlfriend, Evan Rachel Wood, and brings it on stage with him during his concerts. At one point in the show, Manson cuts off her head, holds it in his hands and performs his own version of "Hamlet." That was the weirdest thing I've read all week until I found out that Manson wants to break the world record of sharing a bath with the most amount of snakes possible. Currently ‘Texas Snakeman’ Jackie Bibby holds the record which is 87 rattlesnakes in a 45 minute long bath. No word yet on when Manson will attempt this daring and deadly stunt. Do you think he's survive? ![]()

Lights Resolve emphasize and inspire![]() Don't fit in with the stick-thin scene girls? Matt from Lights Resolve feels your pain (except he's not a girl.) Read on as he delivers advice regarding an evil stepmother, being straight-edge and more. Check out this Rock N Roll Therapy. ![]() Pearlcharms: I love rock music but I don't love going to shows anymore. I'm over weight and I feel like the small skinny girls are always lookin at me like I don't belong. It's such an uncomfortable feeling cause were all there for the same reason. Who cares how much I weigh? It would not bother me so much, but when I meet the band they only seem to want to talk to the pretty girls. I'm not a groupie and I don't want to have sex with them. Just talk. Matt: You are probably going to the wrong shows and hanging out with the wrong bands with the wrong fans. I know that most of the artist (that I'm friends with) are happy to connect on a musical/personal/intellectual level with anyone, regardless of the physical features they possess. If someone gives you that look like you don't belong just know that come five years from now they'll probably be chasing the same bands while you are running the world. ![]() Lizzirocks: Well all my friends and peers really like to go out and get high or drunk or whatever at parties and shows and guys are always trying to pressure me into sex. Sounds like average high school I know, but the problem is that I'm trying to maintain a straight edge lifestyle. Even if I have my X's on my hands people still try to offer me drinks and don't seem to understand how I am trying to live my life. Personally I feel it's a positive choice I have made, especially after some not so great experiences with drugs/alchohol, but I'd like some advice on how to make myself feel less alienated in social situations which really press my temptation. Matt: Being straight-edge as well I can empathize with you. However, realize that you put yourself in the situations where temptation is all around you. You need to accept the fact that you are who you are and not let your ideals be affected by your surroundings. If you have a strong will, which you need to be straight-edge, you are able to deal with these situations. On a side note, I find it very important to respect people around you who do not share the same ideals that you possess. I hang out with everybody and don't make a big deal about being the guy who doesn't drink...I think that's why I can still have a good time with people who aren't straight-edge. You can be proud about who you are, but you don't need to preach it and flaunt it. ![]() Ninjaintraining: This past weekend, my mother called to let me know that one of my childhood friends was found dead in his apartment. I cried about it for a couple of minutes, but I haven't had the sufficient time to get over it. Being far away from friends and family makes it even harder. We're an ocean apart and as much as I want to be there for them, I can't. I've suddenly got this feeling of deep, deep sorrow due to my inability to cope. This will be the fourth funeral within these past few months of people that I care for. It's affecting my schoolwork and my college life because I haven't had time to get over all of these events happening. They just keep coming right at me. I just want to know how do you guys handle these kinds of situations where you know you should take time off but have a previous agenda to fulfill? Don't you feel like giving up at times? Because that's how I feel at the moment... I just wish that things would un-complicate themselves, but I don't think that will be happening anytime soon. Matt: Giving up is the easy answer. However, I doubt that your friends who have passed away would want you to do that on their account. In fact, I bet they would tell you they would feel super guilty about it. Best thing to do in your situation would be to seek counseling. Since you go to college, they usually have FREE psychologists/psychiatrists available. These costless sessions can be priceless for your health. Sometimes speaking with someone whom you don't know is a very free feeling that can be very therapeutic. The result of said sessions can possibly lead to you taking a break from your daily routine of school. However, I would try this route first before jumping to major conclusions like taking a break in your schedule/ life plan. Music can also be a key ingredient to your mood changing; as cliche as it sounds, it's true. There have been times where I've felt so down that I didn't know if I could go on living...but then I realized that I would always have my favorite band, my favorite album, my favorite song. Many studies are being done at the moment about the healing power of music. I am a believer! ![]() Deahbysupression: My dad is getting divorced from my step-mother and still isn't legally divorced but is now dating another woman. It's not like I liked my step-mother, she made my life a living hell for the past ten years, so much so that I like coming home, I'd stay at school and at friend's houses for as long as possible. So I'm not too hung up that he's dating this woman. I just think it's immoral, he's not divorced and yet the woman is spending the night and they're going to dinner and all kinds of crap. I want my dad to be happy, but I'm not sure that I'm ready to let another person into my life right now.t is a girl to do? How long does it take to forget someone you spent a life time growing up with? Matt: If your step-mother made YOUR life miserable imagine how unhappy your father must have been. This is his wild period after a big relationship. I say cut him some slack and let him enjoy life. It may seem a bit odd at the moment, but usually when your parents are happy it reflects on how they treat you. Since he'll want you out of the house at night when he brings his woman over, ask him for concert ticket money...he will oblige. Have a personal issue? Wizard Of Oz munchkins finally have their day
It's been 68 years since the release of The Wizard Of Oz and the munchkins have followed the yellow brick road all the way to Hollywood.
Seven actors from the original film showed up (in a horse-drawn carriage) to receive their star on the Walk Of Fame for their work on the film which came out in 1939 but is still one of the most talked about movies of all time. The actors were all extremely thankful and happy for the acknowledgement. Some even dressed up as if they were sill in Oz. What do you think it is about The Wizard Of Oz that makes it a timeless classic? ![]() Going on right down the street was the WGA Writer's Strike. Buzznet's own Panasonicyouth was there at the scene. Thinking about throwing out those concert t-shirts from years ago? You know-- the ones collecting dust in your closet. Think again. Those t-shirts can be worth a lot of money!

November 19, 2007Bands are feeling the pain of the writers' strike
Television appearances are extremely important to bands on the rise and can make a huge impact on their album sales.
Unfortunately, many of those bands who were scheduled to appear on late night shows these past few weeks had their big moment cancelled due to the writers' strike. Bands like The Hives, Plain White T's, Band of Horses, Motion City Soundtrack and Jimmy Eat World will hopefully get their appearances rescheduled when the strike is over -- whenever that may be. In what other ways do you think the writers' strike will affect musicians? Post your thoughts in the comments! ![]()

Back in the day: Pinky and the Brain
Pinky and the Brain was a hilarious 90s cartoon series starring two lab mice who have been genetically enhanced.
Brain is the smarter of the two mice and Pinky is the goofier one. Together they spend their time at Acme Labs trying to take over the world although their plans always seem to fall through. Pinky and the Brain started out in short segments on 1993's cartoon series Animaniacs. They were given their own (longer) show in 1995 on the WB called Steven Spielberg Presents Pinky and the Brain. The show was a success with 65 episodes but the series that shortly followed, Steven Spielberg Presents Pinky, Elmyra & the Brain, was a flop and only lasted for 13 episodes. Let's take a look back at the popular theme song to Pinky and the Brain. Click on the photo to view the video. ![]() Discuss this show in the comments!

Five songs that changed my life with N00b![]() Fan Submission http://n00b.buzznet.com/user/ Westlife If I Let You Go Where to begin? This band was my one first love, and this song started it all. I was 9 or 10 years old and my heartbeat could've matched that of a hummingbird whenever I saw Kian smile. Yes, we were going to get married even though he was ten years my age, and everybody was going to cry out of jealousy. No matter how old I am, they'll never be "just one of those boybands". I just can't help it! You never forget your first love. Las Ketchup Asereje I hate it. Oh my GOD, how I hate this song. From the moment I heard it. It has a dance. Is there a song with it's own dance, that does not suck? Led Zepplin Stairway To Heaven Along with Dazed and Confused, this is the song that really got me into Zeppelin. The melody makes my heart want to jump out of my chest and dance ballet across a silent water. My Chemical Romance Helena I often feel I need to denfend my love for this band. Sellouts, emo, crap. Say what you won't. I am not going to fight you, nor care. I will not stop listening to their music, just 'cause you think they're whiny man-babies. This is the song that really opened my eyes. The amount of emotion behind it makes me catch my breath. I thought they were a good band on beforehand, this one sold me on great. The Doors People Are Strange Jim Morrison fascinates me. The Doors fascinates me. This song fascinates me. When I first heard it, I knew it was going to be one of those songs I would never be able to forget. The simplicity of it all, but complexity of meaning. This song hit right in my heart, and is perhaps the most important song to me of all. What are five song that changed your life? November 16, 2007Rock N Roll Therapy: Farewell![]() Trying to live the straight edge lifestyle with constant pressure from your peers? Having a problem keeping your relationship due to distance? With Wil's advice from Farewell, you will hopefully be saying 'farewell' to your problems. (Too cheesy?) Check out this Rock N Roll Therapy. ![]() Girlsastraightuphustler: I've liked one of my best friends since grade 8 and now I'm in grade 10... Me and him are really close and we really liked eachother so we dated. It didn't really work out but we remained really close still and then we thought about trying the dating thing just before summer. It lasted 4 months and it was the greatest time of my life. We brokeup because we got really busy with our sports and homework, but not even a week later he had another girlfriend after he told me he still liked me and we were still best friends. I didnt care that he had another girlfriend. It was just the fact that I found out from the internet. A couple weeks later they broke up due to her hearing rumors. The other night we had this big talk and he told me he wants to date again but we just done see each other enough. What could I do? Wil: Ive seen this happen countless times. I personally have found myself attracted to my close friends in the past but I made the decision to draw the line because I didnt feel that it was worth risking losing an awesome friendship. My advice to you would be for you to reevaulate your feelings. If you really like him and want to make it work, then it will work. Long distance relationships and such work all if the time, so if seeing him is the issue, focus on solid ways to meet up for short periods of time and make the absolute best of your time together. I hope your decision works out for you! Wil: You have to stand strong and be passionate about your beliefs. I too used to live a straight edge lifestyle as a young teenager and was an active member of a straight edge group in my community. Temptation is always going to be an issue, but let people know you are serious. You are taking care of your body and life and people should applaud you for that. Buy Casey Jones' album " the few the proud and the crucial"! That will teach you how to handle this situation! :-) ![]() Ninjaintraining: This past weekend, my mother called to let me know that one of my childhood friends was found dead in his apartment. Wil: You need to take the time off and relax as well as relieve your stress. Bands deal with deaths by taking time off to cope and mourn their losses. You deserve to be able to take off of school or work to release your emotions and to relax. I am very sorry for your losses. Just know that it WILL get better! I recently lost a close high school friend to a vehicle accident but mourning with close friends showed me that things will eventually lighten up. Keep your head up. ![]() Beckyrose: For the past 10 fucking years I have been mourning. 10 years ago my big sister was killed. For 10 years I've held it in. Now I'm 19 and it all just came out. Every time I would here her name in a crowd, or see or smelled somehting that reminded me of her, iIwould just break down sobbing, just like I am now. How can a human body hold this much snot and tears!!?? I have been seeing a therapist. It just makes me feel worse and it really dosent help. I feel the same as I did the day she died. I have never tried to hurt myself, exept the time in middle school when I was an alcoholic. But what im trying to get at is, I have been through therapy, it's been 10 long-ass years, and nothing has helped. What is a girl to do? How long does it take to forget someone you spent a life time growing up with? Wil: You should never forget them at all. Every person has their own way of mourning. You have lost someone who was very important to your life. You have every right to mourn all you want. I dont think you should focus on forgetting but rather remembering the positive times you shared before her passing. Your sister would want you to be happy and to feel better. You have every reason to be upset but as years pass try to remember the happy times and smile. <3 Have a personal issue? Would you like to get some advice from a musician? Five songs that changed my life with Xxsammiejo22Xx![]() Fan Submission http://xxsammiejo22Xx.buzznet.com The Spill Canvas The Tide Amazing. It gives me the butterflies. If you haven't heard it - LISTEN NOW! Great story! The Used Taste Of Ink Probably because they're my favorite band and this is the first song I ever heard from them. I was in love at the beginning, and it's kinda true for me. Something Corporate Me And The Moon It's a good story pretty much, it makes a lot of sense to me. Thursday War All The Time The first time I heard this song I cried, if a song makes you cry, it's definately touched you in a deep way -- it's meaningful. Chiodos A Letter From Janelle It's fairly new. I love it there new stuff is suprisingly better which doesn't happen for a lot of bands in my opinion, i like the part where there like "it's so easy to get lost in constantly having to present whatever a face you believe a person wants to see rather than your own" that's so true for me I start becoming what people want me to be instead of what I really am! I dont care who you are everybody does it, whether your trying to get a job, make a new friend whatever you hide yourself. What are five song that changed your life? Post your list in this group.

November 15, 2007Hip drinks for the underage
The legal age to drink is 21 in the United States and it varies in other countries. Since we do not encourage underage drinking we have reached out to some of our trusting musician friends to recommend some great-tasting non-alcoholic drinks. You can order these with dinner or make them for your friends at the next big party! Feel free to recommend your own tasty non-alcoholic beverages in the comments!
Mindy from Lydia ![]() Shirley Temple with extra cherries! or Virgin Pina Colada! I'm not old enough to drink, so I always get those if we play a bar or restaurant. Wil from Farewell ![]() (Wil on left side) Virgin Shirley Temple! They are nice and sweet but partly because Shirley sounds like a hot mom's name. Brian from Suburban Legends ![]() 7 Up and grenadine is amazing. I love that! Droo from Quietdrive ![]() Virgin Martini - An ice cube and an olive! Starwberry daiquiris are great too! Mark from June ![]() Kitty Cocktail. Tastes great and has enough sugar to keep you going. Thomas from The Higher ![]() Shirley Temple with V8! Yum! Five songs that changed my life with Rockstarsammi![]() Fan Submission http://rockstarsammi.buzznet.com The Spice Girls Wannabe This song opened me up to the world of music. Thus I will always love this song AND the Spice Girls. Blink-182 The Rock Show This is the song that got me into rock. This song probably changed my life more than any other song... Which is why when I finally got to hear Blink (well +44) preform it live this summer in San Diego (Blink's home town), I broke down crying uncontrollable tears of joy (haha I looked like one of those girls on one of those old boyband videos)..... my favorite moment of the year. Avril Lavigne Sk8r Boi I know it's really lame to say that an Avril song changed your life... But if it wasn't for this song, I probably would have never started skateboarding.. pretty sad i know.. but this song did help change my life. Mest Jaded I know it's cliche' but this song saved my life... When I was 14, I'd set a deadline to commit suicide by. Then I went and saw MEST in concert, and felt nothing but joy.. And by the time they played that song, I decided there was something to live for and I didn't want to die any more. I also stopped cutting, and ended up going over two years, after that without doing so. Good Charlotte Lifestyle Of The Rich & Famous This was the first Good Charlotte song I ever heard (well and knew it was by GC.. I'd heard "The Little Things, loved it, and didn't know who it was by)... And from the very first time I heard this song I was hooked on Good Charlotte. Even though I'd been a GC fan since 2002, I didn't get to see them live until 2004. I ended up meeting my best friend at that concert... What are five song that changed your life? Five songs that changed my life with Yourusernameisnotavailable![]() Fan Submission http://yourusernameisnotavailable.buzznet.com Michael Jackson Smooth Criminal This song just amazes me that the bass line is so simple yet is probably one of the most recognizable songs in music history. The video's mind-blowing also, if you haven't seen it - do it. 75 degree leans without wires are involved. The Cure Why Can't I Be You? The horn section in this always gets stuck in my head and I love that if you take this song in a very light way you see it as a pop song about love but if you look at it deeper, the lyrics are tortured and obsessive and very haunting. Fall Out Boy Dance Dance The bass line blows my mind and made me want to play guitar. I love how in the bridge before the first chorus Patrick's voice and Joe's guitar copy the same melody and in the last few seconds when it's just the drums and Patrick singing. His voice is probably the best in modern alternative music today. David Bowie Andy Warhol The guitar riff in this is crazy and I just love David Bowie. The Smiths Across The Universe Although this was originally a Beatles song I prefer The Smiths' cover. Morrissey is just amazing. What are five song that changed your life? Post your list in this group.

Five songs that changed my life with Faint05![]() Fan Submission http://faint05.buzznet.com/ Cold A Different Kind of Pain This song brings tears to my eyes everytime I hear it. I don't know whether it's the chilling piano or what but it makes me think of every person I've lost in this life. Linkin Park Numb This song helped me through some of the roughest times of my life in high school and I'm still completely in love with it. Collective Soul Run This song is chilling and every part of it is incredible. I was never a big Collective Soul fan but this song defines a lot of things in my life. Snow Patrol Run It's weird to have two songs with the exact same name on the list but this one...the first time I heard it really affected me. The guitars really make this song and the lyrics are too amazing. Brand New Limousine (MS Rebridge) This is the kind of song that will change the life of anyone who knows the story behind it. The melodies, Jesse Lacey's voice, and the tragic lyrics make this song so incredible. I defy anyone to find a song sadder than this. Make sure you understand what it's about. What are five song that changed your life? Post your list in this group.

Rock N Roll Therapy: From First To Last![]() Is your best friend constantly ditching you for her boyfriend? Unhappy with the person that you are? Ex-boyfriend dating four of your friends at once!? These issues are so extreme that I could only think of one person to reach out to give our fellow Buzznet members some advice. Here comes Travis from From First To Last. Check out this Rock N Roll Therapy. ![]() Blackparadegirl: Whenever my friend has a bf she ends up sort of abandoning me and the rest of our friends. I know that they're bf/gf and yea but it seems a bit extreme to hang out with him like every day and us never...I know she's not really doing it intentionally but I'm afraid to bring it up because I'm happy shes happy and I dont want her to feel guilty for having a bf...I have no idea what to do?!?!?!?! Travis: I think that you are pretty much on the right path with this problem. The best thing yo can do is just allow her to be happy, but in doing this its actually a reverse psychology, your friends will want to hang with you more because you are cool and don't hastle them about their lifestyle. ![]() Xemoxclaraxmcrx: Me and ex boyfriend broke up over the summer. I can't get over him. He made my life so happy. I love him with all my soul. Then he dumps me. It hurts always when I see him with a girl. I wanna get him out of my life. He started dating 4 of my friends at the same time then did my best friend for 5 years she didn't want to and sh** I wish he would stop and move on with this man whore sh**. I hate him for being one I can't get what he thought of me. Please tell what I should do I miss him alot. My friend has got this guy that likes me. I don't know if I should go with him or not. I mean I want a new start so the thing won't be so hard on me. Travis: Do't rush trying to be in relationships..there's an old saying that goes, "don't use bodys as bandaids" a lot of young people this day in age are racing to get to the finish line of life, but really life is always changing and good things come to those who are patient and wait expectantly for their prize. I know its hard to see him on such a succesful dating stint with all of your friends, but at the end of the day he's at least showing you how much of a door knob he actually is. ![]() Twiggleonee: I don't like the person that I am.. I'm an obsessive-compulsive, lonely, uncreative, talentless loser with jealousy raging inside of me. I just feel completely worthless and I feel as though the world wouldn't change one bit if I wasn't here. Like I said, I'm a jealous person. I always think that my best friend likes her other friends better than me and that they all talk badly about me behind my back. I guess that could also be labled as insecurity, which is another huge issue that I deal with on a daily basis. I have also been abused, not physically, but verbally and emotionally. By my dad (wow, such a shocker!). He just constantly makes me feel like sh**, like I'm worthless. The only thing that's worse than him calling me a "lazy fu**" and things like that is when he ignores me. I don't know, I guess I'd just rather have him yelling at me than pretending that I don't exist. I just feel so broken, like I'm on the verge of ending my life. I feel really alone and there's not really anybody I can count on or talk to about this. I would do anything to be numb and free of all emotions. Can you please give me some suggestions as to how to fix myself before it's too late to do anything? Travis: You aren't in that bad of a spot at all! as I read through this question I thought, "what an observant analytical being we have here" you chose to have a challenging up bringing and I urge you to play off of your jealousy and use it to intice your imagination...come up, dream up ideas that best suit you for you...wether its a farmer an artist, skateboard, cooking, media whatever, just choose and channel all of those doubts and fears you have into creating something that's just for you...you have called all these things into your experience to light a fire under your ass so to speak and to remind you constantly of what it is YOU DO LIKE AND LOVE....remember life doesn't have to be glamerous or rich or full of things that people admire and respect,...for instance, I love collecting action figures from the 80's and so I could see myself trying to get a job doing box art, this isn't a glamerous job but it's something little that I love and at the end of the day that's all that really matters...guiding and enjoying your experience that is life. ![]() Emobutterly6661:My mother seems to think my two younger siblings are more imporant than I, if they do something I get blamed NO MATTER WHAT... even if I'm not at the house when it happens...and another thing is even if im telling the truth no one ever believes a word I say...so at home I feel lonely and with no one on my side...and yea its kind of depressing...the only ones who helps me are my very few close friends and my music....and sometimes I fear it isn't enough...causing pain to myself relieves anger and anxiety but is painful later on...I try to keep myself from it but I havent succeded some of the time...is there anyway that I could help out my home situation...? Travis: I know when I feel trapped in a corner and it seems no one is around to care I usually take off running until I want to collapse...this only stems from me needing to be physical in order to release those negative vibes and feelings. It could be that life is putting you through this to detatch you from your family so you will grow up and focus on yourself and your passions...at the end of the day just try walking a straight line around your parents and see if its enough to get them to let up, parents aren't perfect..they are just people like you and I. Linkin Park's collaboration wish list
The music world went crazy over Linkin Park and Jay-Z' Collision Course album in 2004 which found the two artists blending together some of their biggest hits.
Fans awaiting a new Linkin Park collaboration will drool over the list of artists the group is hoping to work with in the near future. British favorites Amy Winehouse, Babyshambles and Arctic Monkeys are three of their choices along with Chester Bennington's recent favorite -- The Horrors. Do you think a joint effot with any of these artists would be as good as the one they did with Jay-Z? Who should Linkin Park be collaborating with -- if anyone? November 12, 2007Back in the Day: Macarena
It was the biggest dance craze in 1995 and there hasn't been a bigger once since.
I'm not talking about the Electric Slide. I'm taking about the Macarena! Don't pretend like you've never heard of it. Your sister, mother, grandma and even dog have done the dance at least once in their life. The song, sung by two older men under the name Los del Rio, went on to sell 11 million copies and resulted in a ton of parodies and remixes (although nothing beats the original). Click on the photo below to view the video for the Macarena. ![]() Remember: Turn 90 degrees counter clockwise after yelling "Ayyy Macarena!" Discuss the song and dance craze in the comments below!

November 9, 2007Five songs that changed my life with rocker4815![]() Fan Submission http://rocker4815.buzznet.com/user/ Green Day Boulevard of Broken Dreams So in pre-winter 2005, I was a young child who listened to the radio 24/7, but only to find a really good song. I was tired of all the repetitive, over-played rap and hip-hop. I liked a few songs (“Swing, Swing”, ‘Why Can’t I’, ‘Meant to Live’), but never really pursued the artists. I was kinda like, “My god, music sucks. They never play good songs.” Very pessimistic. And then, one day, this song came on. My friends had been gushing on Green Day and I was like, “Whatever, you guys are posers (not exactly the word, but I was suspicious of my rap-loving friends liking this band).” But when this song came on, I got chills. Literally. Probably the first song that really affected me. I had this epiphany and realized that I should choose my own path and go find music by myself, not let the music find me. I shouldn’t conform to my friends wearing those strange trends. I should dress like Bille Joe and Co (yes, all from one song I learned ‘nonconformity’). Also, Green Day was the first band I got into and knew a little about. Even though I’m sick of the song, it will always be special to me. My Chemical Romance Famous Last Words And so the obsession began. MCR. First band I worshipped (not anymore). Why I am getting my lip pierced. Breaking Benjamin Diary Of Jane I heard this all the time one summer. Every. Single. Day. “And now, Diary of Jane!” I recently moved and couldn’t find any radio station I liked except the hard rock station. Because of this song and others, I find hard rock and the hard rock scene, really boring and repetitive. AFIMiss Murder May seem lame, but I had no idea that the person pictured in the little box to represent that AFI had the Number 1 video for Yahoo Music was not a girl. For quite a few days, I thought that Davey Havok was a girl. When I heard Miss Murder and saw Davey perform at the MTV Movie Awards, my shock came over when I found out that the girl had a manly voice and in fact, was not a girl at all. I searched all over. This guy had to be gay. Alas, no, Davey is apparently neither bi nor gay (Asexual?). So this song taught me that, hey, guys can be pretty too. Not all guys have to look like Hunter and Adam. The Cribs Martel And so I was introduced to indie.

Rock music lives at MTVu Woodie Awards
The MTVu Woodie Awards 2007 doesn't air until November 15th but the winner have already been announced!
Boys Like Girls, whose popularity continues to grow daily, took home the emerging artist award. (Creatively titled The Breaking Woodie!) You heard the song "Wow, I can Get Sexual Too" on many of your friends' phone ringers this year and Say Anything took home the Best Video Woodie for it! The Academy Is won the Viral Woodie for dominating the Internet and Gym Class Heroes were the winners of the biggest award of the night - Woodie of the Year. Motion City Soundtrack, Fall Out Boy and Tom Delonge were in the house as well. This award show proves just how powerful rock music still is. Especially in a time where people claim it's dead. I'm proud that some of Buzznet's favorite bands went home as winners! ![]() Tom Delonge w/ Fall Out Boy - Photo Credit: MTVu.com

Turkey. Stuffing. Green bean casserole. Apple pie. Those are some of the expected things you will find on your dinner plate this Thanksgiving. Looking for something different to eat this holiday? Read on to find out the strange and unique dishes these musicians have had on past Thanksgivings
![]() Bryan of Boys Like Girls: Last Thanksgiving we were on tour and we ate dinner at Cracker Barrel. I ordered the meatloaf. Everyonoe else ordered the turkey and got sick because it was sitting out all day and they just microwaved it. HA! ![]() Brian of Suburban Legends: We are usually on tour during Thanksgiving and we usually eat dinner at Hooters that night. I love Hooters! ![]() Jay of Maxeen: My older sister and I won a pig at a state fair when we were little and then right before Thanksgiving my Grandpa Joe used it to make a ham dinner! I was devistated and I am not making this up! ![]() Mindy of Lydia: In 2005 we went to Waffle House for Thanksgiving. All we had were waffles and coffee! ![]() Phil of Treaty Of Paris: The band ate a pig with an apple in its mouth one year. You said "forever"
I reached out to fellow Buzznet members in an attempt to create the ultimate breakup song. A song that you could relate to and thus will hopefully make you feel better about the end of your relationship. Here is the outcome which includes lines from over 40 people on Buzznet! Do you like it? Post your thoughts in the comments!
You said "forever" You've left me here, alone and screaming I'd kill to wake up, but I'm not dreaming lying here alone in bed
a thousands thoughts going through my head you know us apart isn't right to be back in your arms and hold me through the night but I have to let you go sometimes I forget I'm still awakebefore my heart suffers another blow I think of when I cant go on and slowly fall asleep, when I realize I can't wake up, and hear myself weep It's not my fault we had to part But you felt it was right to break my heart My heart and my head will never decide If I can really go on with my life What I thought was all a lie Now you leave me only to cry but I'll get you back and you'll scream my name Once I'm over you, you'll never be the same I always thought you were the one with you my life had just begun You have to know I fell in love a thousand thoughts run through my head
dreams were like an ocean we were swimming in my heartyet thoughts of you are left to rest
now I roam the desert since our dreams just fell apart
we both lie silently stillin the dead of the night although we both lie close together we feel miles apart inside so i'll take this bow, and say goodnight to this faded love at first sight your tears will be the ones extinguishing the embers of what once was and every day i'll update you on my life with my new love, just because the heat of our love used to burn hotter than fire yet all through that, you were the liar But, I'll wipe these tears, and begin a new start what hurts more is that I would still die for youtrying to repair this broken heart I didn't care that you left and abandoned me I just wish we could share one last dance but I know that the time has too far passed and every look I lay on you is like a hard awakening as if I had been dreaming of all those feelings this heartbreak hovers over me like a darkened cloud on a miserable overcast day in December. ![]() Hate, betrayal, resentment I feel it all, leave me alone I don't need your help now! for now I can see its better this way I on my own and you under ground you said forever you're dead in my heart And I'm falling like it will never end, Just to be with you one more time, dont let my heart bleed dont let stop this melody cause its our song our dance but not our night Your lies are too much for me to take I can't call you a friend anymore but those sparks between us what coulda put them out & yes I used to care &yes I used to love but now that you are no more It's so damn hard to trust Cupid shot his arrow yet it seemed to miss your heart This time the flights on fire my dear may it burn your soul apart you'll think about the past and will want me back in your arms I love you, but its not real love It's just a fairytale, or fantasy of something that I am dying to be and when I thought this was just the start
who knew you'd be the one to tear us apart? I'm drowning in my own ocean of tears being without you is my only worst fear you came like the summer,so calm and bright
I was torn apart by loveand left me the winter,so dark as the night. you were like my hero, giving me all hope, then vanquished our love that i hoped was sealed in an envelope now your face is all i think of. I said im sorry what elso do you want from me? Ikisses will haunt you, you'll see. I want more than what I have. don't my screams make you feel bad? look at me now, that's all I want close your eyes tight and tell me goodnight! I f*** up and say these things outloud my old friend I left my only hope in you you threw it away like nothing I loved you over everything not like there was ever something my shadow's only dream is this to be anywhere near your hips and lips If my heart gives direction let me lose control, stray me from thy path
memories guide me through the night, a sympathetic wrath ![]() The self-destruction still runs my face
you said you would be here foreverthey're watching the heartbreak in progress but I only see my shadow I'll have my tears drown out my memory these thoughts of you are sinking my love for you has been ever growing, but you can't see it and it's not showing. I'm sure you thought it was a treat but now everything is crumbling at my feet you couldnt even give me a reason why it ended but dont worry I wont let you win..not here....not again please don't go please don't fade away everytime my heart breaks, a few more pieces I miss I wish that we could have stayed in a lovestruck bliss you were never there neither did you care Like an appartition you are just a ghost turning my eurphoric dreams to heinous nightmares Take me for granted You'll never know the times I've cried myself to sleep and though I want to be strong I'm finding it so hard to move on When I thought you were alive like the skies of spring I finally knew that when I found you dead It was either the sorrow I sing or dispel all the things you said, completely you'll vanish like a memory from amnesia I asked you to fix me my heart needed repair the only gift you gave me was grief and dispair who knew that we would be left apart...
but it still hurts like hell, coz ur still in my heart..
I try to hidehow I'm dying inside whoever she is that you left me for just hold her tight, and kiss her right and remember that you once had me I searched for your presence, knowing you won't be there
coz my heart still thinks, that this just isnt fair without you, I feel so small without you, I am broken blinded by love blinded by you but you don't care anymore
its your loss not mineso I don't feel anymore
so now you're out of my mind ![]()

Five songs that changed my life with Sappysuperunknown10![]() Fan Submission http://sappysuperunknown10.buzznet.com/ Pearl Jam Jeremy Not everyone has lovely, nostalgia worthy memories of high school. I didn’t. Ahhh, I once tried to speak too. Actually more than once. This song really opened my eyes and made me realize, I didn’t wanna end up like that. So if we’re talking about not only life changing but life saving songs. This would be one of those. Tori Amos Crucify I was, wow, so overwhelmed when I listened to this song for the first time. It was like, here, someone is telling, in a way, the story of my life. I know many many people feel the same way about this song. But damn, it was a really soul baring experience listening to it for the first time. I just hang on to every phrase, every lyric until the end of the song. Radiohead Creep Again, I was here thinking “Finally! Someone speaking for us” haha. No, really, I love the disinterested mood of this song, I thought, “Hey, maybe being a creep isn’t all that bad”. It’s good to realize you’re not the only one. Sorry but in the little asshole of the world where I live, almost 99% of the kids ages 15-19 are pretty much the same. I don’t need to please all the “fucking special” people. So, I take this song as a personal anthem. It’s probably the only song I carry like “MINE” in this list. Nirvana Lithium I just, Nirvana is probably the band that has changed my life more than any other in here. It’s hard to explain the feeling I get from this song, it’s kinda like with “Creep”. “We’re weird, we’re rejects, we’re a bit fucking crazy, and we don’t give a shit”. For some people the lyrics don’t make any sense. And maybe they don’t. They’re all a bunch of phrases of uninterested self-loathing that couldn’t make more sense to me. RENT Seasons Of Love Oh yeah, again, the lameness of being saved by a Broadway musical. See, I’m not the only one. You can’t imagine all the suicidal, terminal, troubled, pessimistic and depressive people whose lives have been changed by this fucking Broadway musical. Again, this is an indescribable feeling. Just listening to this song once, ONCE, and I felt all my problems were solved, that everything was easy, that life was worth a damn. I thought; if people with AIDS, people who live in the street, people recovering from drug addictions, can be happy, why the fuck can’t I? And for a moment, I was. Completely happy. Thanks to this fucking Broadway musical. I don’t know if you all believe in destiny, but, I think finding this wonderful musical, thanks to various signs of the world, God, the universe, whatever you believe in, is definitely one of the BEST things that have happened to my life. Cause, RENT, RENT is love, is death, it’s happiness, it’s struggle, RENT is fucking LIFE. And it just fills you with it. No other road, no other way, no day but today. Of course, situations have changed since 2005. My life has. My view on life has. And I’m not all cheery and happy all the time. But I know, I can always listen to this song, and it will always keep my feet on the ground and a smile in my face. And there’s no greater feeling than that. What are five song that changed your life? Post your list in this group.
