GNVFLA / Anarbor / Scenes and Sirens / AFI
I apologize for not writing sooner ... it's been a busy few days between Warped Tour on Friday, my birthday on Saturday and hosting Rock the Cause on Sunday ... but I do it all for you!
I hope you all got the chance to listen to last Thursday' live interview with Hunter Revenge on my radio show. We filmed the entire thing for Buzznet and you can expect a video or two in the next few weeks. It won't be the entire 60 minutes, but rather then best of. Meanwhile, check out my review of the night and a ton of hysterical pictures from the interview. This week Anarbor and Scenes and Sirens will be coming to DJ Rossstar's Punk Rock Show. It's crazy to think that in September it will be exactly six years since I made my dreams of interviewing bands a reality. All I need now is a chance to prove to the mainstream world that my show can make it on television ... and that all of you would watch! So if you know someone in the business ... send them my way please :) Hidden Message: Go buy Less Than Jake's new record - GNVFLA - today. Speaking of television ... I just got my first flat screen AND a brand new desk to hold my equipment during my radio show ... trying the whole professional thing. Should I do more video updates and post them in bulletins? I feel like I don't video blog enough? DJ Rossstar

June 21, 2008Happy Birthday to Me
So the day has finally arrived once again. It's scary how fast the
years go by once you are out of college ... stay as long as you can.
Thanks to everyone who has left me a birthday comment so far.
It really is an amazing feeling to sit here and read through hundreds of 'em :) Tonight's celebration should be lots of fun and I will try and take as many pictures as possible so you can see what went down throughout the day and night. I had the chance to meet a few of you at Warped Tour Pomona yesterday. It was my 10th year going and my biggest complaint was that it was extremely hot. Honestly, hotter than any Warped Tour I have ever been to. I was busy doing interviews for Buzznet during the first half of the day but caught sets from Cobra Starship, Katy Perry, Pennywise, Reel Big Fish, Angels & Airwaves, Say Anything and a few others. I had a good time but this year's lineup was lacking some of my favorite bands this time around. I won't be attending Ventura's Warped on Sunday but will be hosting this wonderful afterparty ... so come! ![]()

Warped Tour '08: Hip-Hop Acts Might Give You a Reason to Leave Emo Alone
I first attended Warped Tour in 1998, and back then I was only interested in one genre of music – punk rock. But with so much diversity at hand, I was foolish to spend my entire day watching 30-minute sets from bands I had seen perform hundreds of times before. While I'm not a regular hip-hop listener, I find myself wanting to travel back in time to catch sets from those Warped Tour performers who didn't exactly fit the punk-rock "mold."More.
